Summer Beauty Wishlist

It's so very nearly summer - thank goodness! When it's a new season it's lovely to update your makeup bag with a few new, fun items. I decided to share with you some cosmetics I would love to try out over the next few months. Lots of these products are quite high end and therefore I will probably only be able to purchase one or two, if any, but it's nice to show you some lovely products that are out their for you to treat yourself to now.
Let's get started!
 Skincare & Hair
Benefit Puff Off
This innovative eye cream aims to smooth out any puffiness or creases under the eye. After all the exams and revision at the moment, this product may be my savior this summer!

Clarins Extra-firming Tightening Botanical Serum
Who doesn't want a toned, moisturised face? This serum seems the perfect face serum, and states that it will firm your skin for a long-lasting effect.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I haven't jump on to the micellar cleansing water wagon yet, but I'd love to give it ago. Loads of bloggers have raved about this product and I'd love to try it for myself.

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream
Why is this face cream a miracle? The cream has anti-ageing properties, which I don't really need at the moment, but it does state that it will make my skin fresher, beautiful and firmer.

John Freida Beach Blonde Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray
I saw this spray advertised on TV yesterday and I seems like the perfect hair product for me this summer! It helps to create edgy, textured beach waves and leaves a beautiful matte finish. I am very eager to try this sea salt spray out over the holidays.

LUSH Dream Steam
Simply place the Dream Steam into a bowl of boiling water, and as the steam rises it open pores, reduces redness, soothes and relaxes your skin - pure tranquility!
MAC Wash & Dry Lipstick [Creme d'Nude]
This perfect looks perfection. It is supposed to shade and define lips, and think the colour is such a pretty peachy nude.

Topshop Lip Bullet in There She Goes
Another really pretty pink shade that leaves a satin finish to your lips. I really think that this colour would suit my skin tone and would look lovely with some defined lip pencil as well.

Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Primer Pencil
This pencil has such a simple, and fast application, and seems like a perfect primer for lipsticks.

Rimmel Oh My Gloss
I really want to try these colour popping lip glosses which contain argan oil and vitamin E. I especially love the colours Rebel Red and Go Gloss or Go Home.

Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Crayon
Such a simple application with a promise of a velvety matte finish. My favourite shade from the range is Pack a Punch
MAC Eye Shadow X15 - Warm Neutral Palette
I am a massive fan of MAC eye shadow, and the 15 shades in this palette would be used countless times over the summer. I especially love the shades Warm Breeze and Gingersnap. MAC's eye shadows have such great pigmentation and are very easy to blend.

Urban Decay Naked3 Palette
I have been gazing at this palette for some time now and I have never purchased it purely because it is too pricey for me. I did recieve the Naked Basics palette from my friend which I use on a daily basis, so I would love to try out the beautiful shades in the Naked3 palette.

Smashbox + Donald Robertson Photo Angle Pure Pigment Gel Liner
This flawless eye liner in Jet Black seems to create a faultless smooth line easily with its unique flexible tip

Sigma Loose Shimmer
This beautiful shade Lush is such a beautiful deep pink that would be a perfect pop of colour.

Barry M Las Vegas Mascara
This mascara is the waterproof product from the range. I have never tried a Barry M mascara before, and haven't really heard much about them, so I'd like to try one out. Comment below if you have experienced a Barry M mascara and what you think about it because I would love to know.

Barry M Wink Marker Pen
A great eye liner to create a bold liner effect that would look so edgy and bold on my eyes. I would like to test how well it lasts.
MAC Lightful C Tinted Cream SPF 3 with Radiance Booster
This seems like a beautiful replacement to a foundation for the summer. In the summer, unless I break out, I like to wear minimal makeup. This product offers a colour-correcting formula which promises to minimise imperfections and control oils. It also implies that it will make your face seem radiant and bright - the perfect summer look!

Benefit Majorette
When this blusher first came out I fell in love with it's beautiful pinky-peachy colour, and I haven't had a chance to buy it. A few months ago I bought the Coralista blush instead, which I love too. The cream/powder formula is lovely to apply to the apples of your cheeks.

Topshop Glow Stick in Spotlight
I have been after a cream highlighter for a while now, so that I can sculpt my face when contouring. This stick seems to be easy to apply and should leave an effortless glow.

Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder
I love the shade of this powder and I would love to see how well it glides on to my skin for a summer sun-kissed look.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water
Water as a primer? I would love to try this formula as it looks like such a refreshing and perfecting product, that gives great hydration and radiance.

Bobbi Brown Face & Body Bronzing Duo - Ibiza & Tahiti
A lovely bronzing duo that promises a skin-kissed glow for your face and body. Just what you want over the next few months!

I hope you have enjoyed looking at some new products to try. If you have already purchased or tried some of these products please leave a comment below so I, and other people, can see whether some are worth trying in the future.

Review | Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation

I have been kindly given this foundation from one of my best friends. I had used this foundation a few times before so I was super excited to try it out again. She had complained that she experienced breakouts due to this foundation, but the foundation is said to allow your skin to breathe, be healthy and hydrated. I wanted to see for myself.

The foundation is a lovely consistency that I find that it is easy to blend using a brush. The coverage is amazing for a light-weight foundation and it doesn't feel cakey on my skin. The finish it leaves gives me a perfect complexion and it is very easy to build coverage, it seems quite dewy and brightening, and you're skin still looks flawless.

I've used this foundation in the shade Ivory for about 2 weeks [although I wear the shade Honey in the spring/summer] and I cannot say it has given me any breakouts, and I suffer from quite sensitive skin. In fact I think it has contributed to hydrating my face and caring for my skin. It also has a SPF of 25 as well - what a bonus! Perhaps it just simply didn't react well with my friend's skin, and that is what caused her breakouts.
Overall, I would definitely repurchase this foundation again due to it working wonders to my face!

What are your views on this foundation?

What's in my school bag?

I was in desperate need for a new school bag, so I took to searching for a new one. My school has many rules when it comes to school bags, such as it must be big enough to fit an A4 folder, it must be all one sensible colour and it must not have a logo. I looked in many shops, and online and I couldn't see any bags I really liked, until a deal popped up on my Groupon app. It was a Windsor Satchel, in several colours, that had been reduced from £49.99 to £10 [including free delivery]. I feel in love with it's classic and traditional design, so I ordered it in the colour brown.

I had no problems with the delivery, and the bag arrived in great time! The bag came in a bag protector, and in pristine condition. The quality of the material is great and the design has no faults. I must admit though, that I thought the bag was going to be slightly bigger inside, but it will be fine for use at school.

In this blog post I decided to also show you what items I tend to put into my school bag. My school bag gets very full up fast with lots of school books and folders, but I always leave space for a few of the necessities I need during the day.

1. My purse
The purse I am using at the moment was a gift from my auntie. It is from Oliver Bonas and it has a lovely aztec design with a tassle detail.

2. Some plasters
You never know when you or a friend may be in need of a plaster - be prepared! I have blister in my bag at the moment because I have ordered some new school shoes, so I am ready for the blisters.

3. Headphones
Whenever you have a chilled lesson, or when you are walking to or from school.

4. Perfume
I don't like to carry around a large bottle of perfume so I love the little portable bottle you can buy. At the moment I have the YSL Black Opium. It is just great went you want to just give yourself a pick me up spritz during the day.

5. Hair Product
I usually carry a hair product around with me. Sometimes it may be a small handbag dry shampoo or hairspray, but recently I have been loving the Percy & Reed finishing polish. It makes my hair feel super soft and silky during the day.

6. My keys

7. My pencil case
My pencil is the absolute must for my school bag. The case was actually given to me as a gift from my auntie when she came back from California last year. I've had lots of compliments on it's design, and it is perfect to keep all my stationery in. Inside is just typical pens, pencils, a rubber, highlighters etc.

8. Bunch of bobbles
The countless times I have forgotten a bobble for PE or catering is so very frustrating. I know keep a good handful of around 5 or so bobbles in my bag for them moments when me or my friends forget.

9. Card Holder
My card holder was given to me as a gift also and it is from Paperchase. It has such a cute design and I love it.

10. Calculator

11. Hairbrush
I have to have a hairbrush in my school bag because I find it can get very knotty easily. This hairbrush is by Botanics, but I bought it in Boots.

12. Makeup
I don't tend to top up makeup too much during the day because I don't like to cake it on. In my bag I usually take a minimal amount. I take my real techniques brush, concealer from MUA, translucent powder by No7 and Nars lipgloss in Orgasm.

13. Lip balm
I am one of those girls that constantly tops up lip balm, especially when I love the product. At the moment I have become obsessed with my baby lips in the colour Coral Crave. The smell is amazing, and it gives my lips such amazing hydration.

14. My planner/school log book

15. Notebook
I love to have a notebook handy because you never know during day-to-day life when you will come up with an idea, a reminder or something you need to do. A notebook handy will ensure you are super organised. The notebook I am using is by the beautiful Petra Boase, they have so many cute and unique designs for greetings cards and homeware so I would definitely recommend you check them out.

I hope you enjoyed an insight into my school bag, thank you for reading!

My Weekly Love | AHOY Thames Row

AHOY everyone!
There is an amazing charity that I would like to talk about this week. The charity, AHOY, is a water-sports based charity that strives to change young people's lives by building life skills on the water. Their main aim is to help and support disadvantaged and disabled youths by offering them participation in water-sports such as rowing and sailing. The charity also offers apprenticeships, this offers them an opportunity to step on to the careers ladder.

My family has decided to support this loving charity. Last year my step mum rowed the channel, along with some of her friends, in order to raise money for this wonderful charity. Her experience was tough, but very rewarding. I am proud to also say that my mum will also be supporting this charity in the next month by completing a row down the Thames. She is in the midst of her preparation and looks forward to the challenge of raising much needed funds for AHOY.

I cannot express how great this charity is, and my family have witnessed face to face the positive changes that AHOY has made to many families' lives. It would be much appreciated if you could make a donation, of any size, to this charity. By sponsoring my mum you will be putting smiles on many young people's faces. If you would kindly like to send a donation there will be a link below and if you would like more information on the charity, click the link at the very bottom.

Thank you very much!
