KITCH | Canterbury

If you follow me on any of my social medias then you'll already know that I went away for a few days with my friends for a girly weekend in Whitstable, Kent. We spent the weekend walking through cute streets, strolling along the beach, taking photos, and eating and drinking really. On the Monday of the trip we decided to have a walk around Canterbury and as soon as we (finally) arrived (due to my awful directions) we were hungry and wanted to find somewhere to eat. Whilst walking up the cobbled streets we found a lovely little cafĂ© called KITCH. With a quick glance at the menu we loved their food and so we decided to enter and take a seat.

A lovely waitress greeted us and we headed upstairs to our table. Inside the interior was adorable with white wooden tables and chairs, boxes of fresh produce, recipes books, cacti, and lanterns and plants hung from the ceiling. We were sat right next to a small little window which overlooked the street below and could see the food being prepared in the kitchen behind us.

KITCH specialises in seasonal, natural and organic food that tastes amazing. I was so excited to try their dishes and I couldn't pick what to have! In the end I opted for the Homemade Carrot and Orange soup with multigrain sourdough bread and salad. It was so delicious and filling too. To accompany my soup I decided to have a healthy smoothie and decided on the Strawberry and Elderflower one - it was so yummy! My friends all ordered similar items, if not the same, as me, and we all loved our lunch! The staff were young and friendly, and I had such a lovely time.

On my way out I passed their counter downstairs and I saw that they sold protein balls and vegan truffles which looked amazing; so next time I'm in Canterbury I'm definitely going to try some. Overall I had a lovely time in KITCH and I would recommend that anyone finding themselves hungry in Canterbury city should pop in to have some breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even just a smoothie!
