Taking Mini Adventures | AD

If you're someone who loves the outdoors and adventure, but lives a busy lifestyle that just doesn't allow you to travel as much or as far as you'd like, then the good news is that there are plenty of things you can do in your own country where you could get away for a couple of days, enjoy a change of scenery and take part in some active adventures, so in this post I'm going to share with you just what those things are to hopefully give you some ideas.

Hiking and Walking

No matter where you are in the world, you don't really have to venture too far to find things like hills, mountains or even just great walking trails. Whether you're an experienced hiker, would like to join a group to get to know other like-minded people, or are just looking to take part in some solo Nordic walking, then you're always going to find something to suit your taste. You can do this over one day, or you can make a weekend out of it and even go camping somewhere in the middle of the trail. The great thing about nature is that it's all around, so you certainly don't need to go the other side of the world to find it.

If you prefer cycling over walking, then this is something you can do anywhere, though of course it's always nice to see some places along the way, so you could do something like take yourself on a scenic cycling route and make camping stops along the way. Another way you can enjoy cycling is by participating in things like the road cycling championship UK where you  basically get a full weekend away with many things like food and accommodation included, and you'll be having fun and meeting lots of interesting and like-minded people.

Watersports are an incredibly fun way to spend a few days, and again, the great thing about water is that it's never too far away no water where you are in the world, so whether it's on the seas, a lake, a river, or even the ocean, there's never going to be too long to travel to get to a place where you can enjoy a fun and active weekend of adventurous watersports.

Things like rock climbing and abseiling are activities that some people love, so if you're one of the people who enjoy this, then it could be time to have a look around to see where you could go for a weekend to do this. The good thing is you won't even have a travel as far as you think and you'll likely be surprised by what you find in your local area or at least close by. These are sports that will make you feel great and that will push you to your limits - in the best way possible, of course.

I hope that this post has shown you that's a lot easier than you think to enjoy the same sense of adventure and freedom you do when travelling without having to travel to the other side of the world.
