24 Hours On Ibiza's Sister Island Formentera

I spent an amazing 24 hours on the beautiful island Formentera, just off the coast of Ibiza...

In the morning we set off from our hotel to beautiful Ibiza Town. We strolled through the streets and completed some light shopping before we headed to the harbour to board a ferry which would take us to Formentera.

We wanted to visit the small Island because it is known for it's clear blue waters and long-stretch sandy beaches, and Formentera didn't disappoint.

We arrived in the harbour and grabbed an ice-cream (mint choc chip of course the superior ice-cream flavour) before heading further into the island. The best way to explore the whole of Formentera is to cycle around the island. We rented bikes and rode along the shore - it was beautiful!

We headed all around the Island and then stopped off a beach bar on our way back to the harbour. I had a delicious mojito and shared some nachos right along the sea.

We then decided to go for a swim in the sea and spend some time chilling on the beach before returning to the ferry to go back to Ibiza Town.

When we arrived back at Ibiza Town, we were feeling hungry - hungry for some tapas! We were recommended a place called La Bodega in Ibiza Town for some dinner and it was amazing.

Located in the old town is this quaint, eccentric tapas restaurant. We sat outside as it was a lovely warm evening as the sun was setting. We chose from their menu a large range of tapas dishes (we were very hungry). The tapas was very reasonable and tasted amazing!

It was then time for some late night shopping in some of the old town boutiques before heading back to our hotel!

I would certainly recommend visiting Formentera for a day if you're visiting Ibiza anytime soon as it is such a beautiful island to explore.

Have you visited Formentera?
